Wake County Hospitality Alliance (1).png

We are Wake County Citizens and Travel and Tourism Industry stakeholders who understand the impact travel and tourism has on our communities and economic development.

Who We Are

What We Do

The Wake County Hospitality Alliance strives to improve our area’s quality of life by promoting and protecting Travel and Tourism at the local level. Travel and Tourism provides numerous benefits including jobs, tax revenue, economic development opportunities, natural and cultural resources, and recreational opportunities. Our mission is to aid in the development of policy to ensure all our communities reap the benefits of having a strong Hospitality industry.

  • To educate local elected officials, community leaders, and the general public on our

issues & priorities and the importance of the industry to the community

  • To provide representation on local boards, commissions and committees which

       effect travel and tourism

  • To communicate to participants items of interest, areas of concern, and calls to

action on local issues of importance to the industry

  • To provide a single purpose entity to advocate for the hospitality community’s

       interests within Wake County

We play a different role than other industry groups.  Larger organizations are more like the Army, tackling broad industry issues and helping with training & operational issues as well as public policy for a broad base of constituents.  WCHA is more like a Seal Team, being strategic and precise with when and how we engage, whether in the form of engaging local officials, assisting grass roots efforts, or filing a lawsuit.  We are also focused on Wake County issues, which don't always come to the attention of larger organizations.

How We Are Different

Why We Need the WCHA

•    Communicate to participants items of interest, areas of concern, and calls to action on               local issues of importance to the industry
•    Provide a single purpose entity to advocate for the hospitality community’s interests within       Wake County
